DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN DELHI

Friday, March 12, 2027 (latest arrival: Friday night / early Saturday morning)

Your journey begins in Delhi, the fascinating capital of India, where centuries-old history, vibrant markets, magnificent architecture, and modern city life come together.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

If you arrive in Delhi by Friday afternoon, you can spend your first evening settling in and soaking up the unique atmosphere of India.

DAY 2 – DELHI TO JAIPUR (Saturday)

After breakfast, we travel to Jaipur (approximately 5–6 hours), the capital of Rajasthan and famously known as the “Pink City.”

Jaipur captivates visitors with its magnificent palaces, historic architecture, lively bazaars, and rich tradition of craftsmanship.

After checking into the hotel, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy the city’s atmosphere, or take a leisurely walk through the surrounding area.

DAY 3 – BAGRU & TRADITIONAL BLOCK PRINTING (Sunday)

Today we visit the traditional artisan village of Bagru, renowned for generations for its block printing techniques and natural dyeing methods.

During a hands-on Indigo Dabu Workshop, you will learn the traditional mud-resist printing technique used to create Bagru’s famous indigo textiles. Working alongside local artisans, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the production of hand-printed fabrics while creating your own printed textiles.

A wonderful day for anyone interested in textiles, craftsmanship, and traditional dyeing techniques.

DAY 4 – DISCOVERING JAIPUR (Monday)

Today we explore Jaipur’s cultural highlights.

We visit the impressive Amber Fort, majestically perched in the Aravalli Hills.

Afterwards, we explore the beautiful City Palace, with its elegant courtyards and historic collections.

There will also be time to wander through Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, famous for textiles, jewelry, spices, and handcrafted goods.

DAY 5 – JAIPUR & RAJASTHANI CRAFTSMANSHIP (Tuesday)

Another day in Jaipur offers the opportunity to dive deeper into the culture and craftsmanship of Rajasthan.

We visit the picturesque Jal Mahal (Water Palace) and discover even more of the city’s charm.

Those who wish can visit local artisan workshops or browse the markets for traditional block-printed fabrics, handmade jewelry, and beautiful textile creations.

DAY 6 – JAIPUR TO AGRA VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI (Wednesday)

Today we leave Rajasthan and travel towards Agra.

Along the way, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the Mughal Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Its magnificent palaces, courtyards, and mosques offer fascinating insights into the history of Northern India.

We then continue to Agra and check into our hotel.

DAY 7 – TAJ MAHAL & AGRA (Thursday)

Early in the morning, we visit the world-famous Taj Mahal.

Bathed in the soft light of sunrise, this masterpiece of Mughal architecture reveals its most magical atmosphere.

Later, we visit the Itimad-ud-Daulah Mausoleum, often referred to as the “Baby Taj.”

In the evening, we enjoy spectacular views of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh, located across the Yamuna River.

DAY 8 – AGRA TO SHIVPURI / RISHIKESH REGION (Friday)

Today we travel north by daytime train towards the Himalayan foothills.

Upon arrival, we transfer to Maasa Retreat & Resort in Shivpuri.

Located just a 10-minute walk from the Ganges, this peaceful village offers a tranquil alternative to bustling Rishikesh.

This marks the beginning of the retreat portion of our journey.

DAY 9 – THE GANGES, NATURE & RELAXATION (Saturday)

After several exciting days of sightseeing, today is dedicated to relaxation.

In the afternoon, we take a leisurely walk to the Ganges and enjoy a picnic by the river.

The peaceful surroundings provide the perfect opportunity to reflect on your experiences and absorb the special energy of this sacred place.

DAY 10 – YOGA & DISCOVERING RISHIKESH (Sunday)

The day begins with a yoga session at the retreat.

Afterwards, we visit Rishikesh and Tapovan, known worldwide as important centers of yoga and spirituality.

Our program also includes a visit to the famous Beatles Ashram, along with free time to experience the unique atmosphere of the town at your own pace.

DAY 11 – HOLI: THE FESTIVAL OF COLORS

Today we celebrate one of India’s most joyful and colorful festivals: Holi – the Festival of Colors.

On this special occasion, there will be no yoga session. Instead, we spend the day together at Maasa Retreat & Resort.

Using traditional colored powders, accompanied by music and festive celebrations, we welcome the arrival of spring and experience one of India’s most cherished cultural traditions.

Holi symbolizes joy, togetherness, and the triumph of good over evil.

This authentic celebration offers a unique opportunity to experience Indian culture firsthand.

The rest of the day is yours to relax at the retreat, unwind, or enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings near the Ganges.

DAY 12 – BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOP

Today’s focus is the traditional art of block printing.

Using a large collection of hand-carved wooden printing blocks from our own workshop, you’ll experiment with colors, patterns, and creative compositions.

Step by step, you’ll create your own unique textile designs and artistic projects.

Between printing sessions, those interested can carve their own small wooden printing block under expert guidance and immediately use it for textile printing.

This provides an additional insight into the traditional craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations.

DAY 13 – INDIGO SHIBORI WORKSHOP (Wednesday)

Discover the fascinating world of natural indigo dyeing.

During this workshop, you’ll learn various Shibori techniques, using folding, tying, and binding methods to create beautiful and unique patterns.

Every piece becomes a one-of-a-kind creation.

DAY 14 – FREE CREATIVE STUDIO DAY

Our final workshop day offers plenty of time for creativity and personal exploration.

Complete your ongoing projects, combine different printing and dyeing techniques, or develop entirely new designs.

If you haven’t yet carved your own wooden printing block—or would like to refine it further—you’ll have the opportunity to do so today.

There is also ample time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the retreat and the beautiful surroundings near the Ganges as our creative journey comes to a close.

DAY 15 – RETURN TO DELHI (Friday, March 26, 2027)

After breakfast, we transfer back to Delhi.

Airport transfer is included in the tour price.

Guests wishing to extend their stay in India may book additional nights in Delhi upon request.

With unforgettable memories, inspiring creative experiences, and a deeper connection to India’s rich culture, our journey through Northern India comes to an end.
